House Cleaners Products for Health
We are a big believer that what you bring into your house helps keep your family healthy and happy. Ensuring you only bring in products that protect you and don’t damage your health, house, and happiness is important.
Eco-Friendly Products
Eco-friendly cleaning products are the new trend and we believe they are now as good for most parts of your home compared to the old heavy duty cleaners that killed too many bacteria while remaining and causing problems with healthy in the future.
With allergies and new research about the positive effects of bacteria on our lives we believe that maintaining a healthy balance between cleaning products and your healthy is important.
If you are unsure of a cleaning product to use, ask our cleaners, or just stock up on Method and call it a day.
We still believe strong cleaners have their place. If your oven hasn’t been cleaned in years, a heavier cleaner may be required. If your shower has years of hard water and mildew built up, it might need something a bit stronger.
General Cleaning
Stain Removal
Removing stains isn’t as easy as it seems. A quick cut to a knee can have tough consequences while coffee brings its own set of needs. Using the correct house cleaner product is important.
For blood we recommend using an enzyme based cleaner with protease (fancy enzyme name for blood removal) and something strong enough to kill any pathogens (if it isn’t family blood).
For fats and oils, lipase is the enzyme you want to break them down into elements you can remove easier.
For eggs and sauce stains, we recommend amylase to break these tough proteins down for easy cleanup.
Many enzymatic cleaners have multiple enyzmes in them as we see for cat and pet stain removers and these should be checked to ensure you are getting the best cleaning product fr your situation.
Recommend what you need
We recommend asking a house cleaner to bring products that fit your life, rather than what they normally use. About half the time we see clients allowing the cleaner to use their products rather than the ones the cleaner brings anyway. Although it is important to make sure you have all the cleaning products your cleaner needs to do the job correctly. We recommend having at least the following:
- Glass cleaner
- Bathroom and shower cleaner
- General purpose cleaner (some people use vinegar and water, or others like Method. Ensure it is safe on granite, marble, etc. prior to use)
- Hardwood cleaner (for hardwood floors if required)
- Bathroom microfibre clothers (toilets, sinks)
- General micorfibre clothes (other areas)
- Bucket and mop
- Vacuum
- Grout brush (for tile)
- Toilet Brushes (1 for each toilet)
- Old Toothbrushes (for small areas around facets and others)
- Scrubbing
